ShipTect is a plug-in for your E-Commerce store that is displayed to your customers at the checkout page. It allows a customer to opt-in to Shipping Protection for a small percentage of their total amount, usually 2-3%, but you can customize the amount. This gives peace of mind to your customer that they will receive their package in the condition they expect.
What value does ShipTect Provide?
The revenue generated from this opt-in goes directly to you, the merchant. You now have a surplus of revenue that can be used to refund or replace your customers packages that are occasionally lost, stolen, or damaged in the transit process. Your customer feels confident that no matter what happens, you will take care of them.
How do you handle claims for lost, stolen, or damaged packages?
ShipTect does not handle any of the claims process for you or your customers. If a package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, your customer should reach out directly to you. You can create a flexible policy that makes sure your customers either receive a replacement or refund.
Why will this help my customer service?
As you know, when a package is lost, stolen, or damaged, your only recourse is to file a claim with whatever shipping service you used(USPS, FedEx, UPS), and hope that they approve it and reimburse you for your customer’s lost product. This process can take up to 6 weeks, and your customer is likely to be dissatisfied and may not ever return. ShipTect allows you to have extra revenue that can be used to immediately replace or reimburse your customer, creating a positive customer service experience.
What is the cost of ShipTect?
Shiptect has tier-based pricing that depends on your monthly order volume of how many customers actually opt-in at checkout. This means that if your customers aren’t opting-in at checkout, you don’t owe us anything. Our goal is to have your monthly subscription to ShipTect pay for itself in 3-4 days of using our software.
I already have Route, why should I change?
While we are similar to Route, the main distinction when using ShipTect is that YOU get to keep the extra revenue generated from the shipping protection sale. Route keeps all of the revenue generated from their shipping protection plan, and pays out claims from their own pool. With ShipTect, you keep the revenue and you can create customer service policies that take care of your customers better than any third party could. How much extra revenue will ShipTect generate?
ShipTect is fully customizable and will generate 2-5% in extra revenue as soon as it is installed to your store. Typically, around 70% of customers opt-in to ShipTect.
